Well it is Sunday (September _24_th) and I’m off to not as great a start as I had hoped. Eating went really well today, but I had gotten sick (horrible cold combined with allergies) this weekend, so the exercise didn’t go as well. I got in my 10 minutes (barely), but nothing was of cardio benefit. Didn’t drink a lot of straight water, but had a fair amount of herbal teas (sore throat) without sweenter!! along with some water, one cup of coffee, and a cup of soda (diet pepsi).
Ah well, it’s all in the past now! I’m looking to the future, and tomorrow is another day to kick it up a notch in at least one of the three areas: food, drink, exercise.
Monday is coming tomorrow, I’m all psyched up for starting my two strict weeks of eating and exercising!! I’m going to start slower than I had planned since I’m coming off of the worst cold (bordering flu) that I’ve had in a while. The weather has been really wonky here and my allergies and sinuses have really been letting me know! Ouch. Here I go….
I’ve been spending the last couple of days getting ready to start my super strict two weeks of my new eating plan. I’m gathering my information, foods, and motivation.
Then it happens. I wake up with a sore throat, runny nose and itchy, watery eyes! Oh no! A cold… a whopper of one too, I suspect. Looks like I’ll be focusing on rest for the weekend. What a nice way to spend the last full day of summer! Sick and miserable. And we have the PERFECT weather too: cold and rainy. Bummer.
Hello World. This is the start of my new life. I discovered SparkPeople earlier this week when Mel at pointed it out as a good source! Thanks Mel! (I posted the same post on my blog at SparkPeople also).
Here’s the harshness of it all. I am fat. I MUST lose the extra weight and change my ways now. I’ve gathered all my information, made my lists, and am gearing up to start my completely new life on Sunday, September 23, 2006. Why not today? Well, frankly, I need to get to the grocery store to replace all the crap I’ve gotten rid of with the healthy goodness of things I should have in my pantry and fridge. (Plus, it’s grocery shopping time anyhow).
For the last few weeks, I’ve been embarking on my new journey of eating and exercising. But, on Sunday, I’m getting serious–and, STRICT! For the next two weeks, I will be super strict about both my eating and exercising and following through.
Now the stats, the awful, eye-popping stats:
Starting Weight: 230 lbs
Current Weight: 222 lbs
Short-term goal Weight: 200 lbs
Mid-Term Goal Weight: 180 lbs
Long-Term Goal Weight: 150 lbs
Height: 5 ft 7 inches
BMI: currently obese.
My final goal weight is subject to review. After all, I am 35 and have been overweight and unfit all of my adult life. 150 might be unrealistic for me, but I’ll reevaluate that once I reach my Mid-Term Goal of 180.
Ready? Set. GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
